V324 - 12/13/2023

SCHEDULING

Export Event Workers

• We have added more tools to manage your Event Workers.  Event Workers can already be added, scheduled on events and paid through Arbiter and now you can export those workers for reporting purposes and much more!

  

Add/Edit/Remove Alignment

Associations who have built alignment can now add, edit, or remove alignment levels within their State's alignment structure. This gives States the ability to properly manage their alignment from year to year during realignment.

FIXES

• A fix has been made to show the correct payor of a game when an official is viewing the game details. If no school or bill-to contact exists, we will display the name and number of the assigner who made the assignment. 

  

PAYMENTS

FIXES

• Fixed an issue where payment notifications were not being sent. Payees will now receive emails when they are paid.
• Fixed an issue where the Reset PIN email was not being sent. Users can reset their PIN via email again.

 

ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION (OFFICIALS)​​​​​​​

FIXES

• Manually granting an eligibility requirement will carry forward to future eligibilities in which the user enrolls.

SECURITY

IMPROVEMENTS

• We are implementing mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all users receiving payments through Arbiter (payee accounts). 
  
  The digital landscape is constantly evolving, and so are the tactics of cybercriminals. MFA is a proven security measure that significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your account by requiring two forms of identification before giving access, such as a password and numeric code sent via text or email.
  
  We recognize that adjusting to new security measures may require some effort, but we are confident that this transition will greatly improve the security of our account.

 

SCHEDULING

NEW- Officials Account Consolidation

• Officials can now manage all aspects of being an Official in Arbiter under the My Account option. Officials will no longer need to jump from group to group to handle different tasks and duties. Officials can access My Account and have the ability to manage information for any of their groups from one central account. This includes accepting/declining games, setting blocks, viewing eligibility, and keeping track of payments. 
  • The ability to access a specific group as an Official will soon be removed and officials will use the My Account option to manage their tasks in Arbiter going forward. 

Users can select 'My Account' to access information for all of their associations in one centralized account

 

Consolidation of Officials Dashboard

• Officials can utilize the new consolidated Dashboard under My Account to view a summary of their ArbiterPay account, a list of upcoming games, and a list of announcements. Games and Announcements will be shown for any of the official's associations where they have announcements or future games. 

FIXES

• Subjects are not being set correctly when copying from an evaluation template. When copying an evaluation template, all fields should accurately copied over from the existing template.

 

ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION (OFFICIALS)​​​​​​​

FIXES

• There was an issue where some officials were not marked as paid on registrations even after they had paid. This has been fixed.

SCHEDULING

TBA Events in ArbiterLive

Games and events with a TBA start time will be shown on the calendar view in ArbiterLive. This will allow schools to display all future events on their calendar even if a time has not been decided.

FIXES

If an assigning group is using auto-accept, officials will not see an accept or decline button in the New Game email.

If an official has the preference to not receive game notifications on, we will not send the official the New Game email. The official's preferences will be honored. 

ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION (OFFICIALS)​​​​​​​

FIXES

Admins were unable to deselect officials one-by-one on the Monitor Eligibility page if the Select All button had been used. 

An update was made to the USSF integration to ensure officials are being matched if they have a profile in USSF. The improvements will also ensure all certification statuses are being sent over to Arbiter.

SCHEDULING

Display Game Notes for Officials

• Officials will now have access to games notes when they are assigned a game. Officials will not have to accept the game in order to see the related game notes. 

FIXES

• Games fees on locked positions were being updated when cascading fees across games. Locked positions should not be updated when cascading fees.

Mass Enrolling Officials

• Admins were unable to mass enroll on the Monitor Eligibility page if using the Select All and selecting all officials. Admins should be able to select any officials under Monitor Eligibility and perform one of the available actions.

New Game Email for Officials

• The new game email that officials receive after assignments have been published by their assigner has been updated to include game details and the ability to Accept or Decline directly from the email you receive. We will display up to 3 games in the new game email that can be accepted or declined. If there are more than 3 games, you will need to login to accept or decline those assignments. After Accepting or Declining the game(s), the official will be given a success message or failed attempt message.

Roster Sorting In Mobile App

• Rosters that have are displayed in the mobile app will now be listed in jersey order instead of alphabetically.

Officials Consolidation

• We have continued to add functionality that will now allow officials to access any tabs/pages from any of their accounts if one of their groups allow access to that page/tab. This will allow officials to manage all of their officiating jobs from one account instead of having to jump from assigning group to assigning group.
• To help officials manage jobs for each of their assigning groups from one dashboard, we have added an account selector to official pages that allows officials to jump from group to group without ever leaving the page. This selector will display the group nickname or the group name if no nickname is applicable.

 

ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION (OFFICIALS)​​​​​​​

USSF Certifications - SafeSport and Background Check

• We have updated the USSF certification requirements for SafeSport Trained and Background Check to not require completion for officials who are under the age of 18. 

Date Registered Filter Options

• The filter options available under Date Registered on the Monitor Eligibility and Registration Payments page have been modified to include Past 24 hours, Past 7 days, This Month, Year to Date, and Custom. Users are encouraged to use the new custom filter to get results that are outside one of the 3 default filter options. 

Monitor Eligibility Filtering 

• Filtering for eligibility tiers on the Monitor Eligibility page was not giving the admin accurate results based off the number of people who had completed the tier. We have made adjustments to the officials that are displayed, and the number of eligible officials should match up correctly.  

STUDENT REGISTRATION

FIXES

There have been a lot of inconsistencies with program and section report settings. When users view the entire program report and an individual section report they will both show the same fields. 

Also, a lot of improvements have been made to reduce complications for when a user updates their password or adds a phone number on their account.

SCHEDULING

Officials Account Consolidation

• We want to make it easier than ever for our officials to navigate their Arbiter account and perform the various tasks required by each assigning group. Using the account selector found on each page, officials will now be able to perform any task for any group no matter which assigning group they are acting-in. We will still prevent officials from performing tasks for groups who do not allow specific tasks to be done. 

BUG FIXES

• Adding scores from the mobile app was not working for schools. Those with admin permissions should now be able to add those scores again. 
• The travel fee minimum was not applying to officials with 0 miles. That mileage calculation should now be working correctly. 

STUDENT REGISTRATION

TWILIO

When Arbiter Registration users want to change their account email, they receive a verification code through test message. We are now using Twilio to securely send texts to our users!

IMPROVEMENT

When programs are archived notifications and emails attached to internal fields will not be sent out to parents. Only step needed is archiving the program, no more complicated 3 step process. When a report, program or internal field are archived notifications will be stopped until it is no longer archived. 

FIXES

In table view for reports columns are able to be reordered and will be saved in the order the user selects them to be.  

In the activity tab users were having files not download when they selected them, this has been addressed and files will download properly.

MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION 

All users will have the opportunity to enable MFA for their login. The next time users sign in they will be prompted to enroll in Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

• If they choose “No”, they will be logged in and can use Arbiter as normal.
• If they choose “Yes”, they will be prompted to enter a phone number. Once they complete the instructions, the next time they sign in to Arbiter, they'll be prompted to enter the verification code sent by text message.

SCHEDULING

SQUADLOCKER PARTNERSHIP

• We have launched the Squadlocker Team Store for all schools in ArbiterLive. Schools can claim their Team Store HERE. To learn more about the Squadlocker partnership, please visit https://www.arbitersports.com/resource-center/boost-your-school-spirit.

IMPROVEMENTS

• Officials will no longer see a Reports tab. The existing 1099 report can be found on the 1099s page that is under the Payments tab.
• When setting up Game Fees, you will now be able to click on the entire row for a position to give that position a fee amount.

FIXES

• Evaluations were showing the incorrect home and away team. The correct teams should now show up for Home and Away.
• Officials who were in a notified and published status were visible to schools on their schedule. We have updated that logic to only show officials to schools if the official has accepted the assignment. 
• Games were not showing up on the correct date if either of the opponents made a date change on the game and all parties had not accepted the change. If a school makes a date change on a game, that game will show on the new date for that school. 
• School logos were being switched for teams when viewing games in the mobile app. Schools should now show their correct logo when navigating through the app. 

 

PAYMENTS

INSTANT TRANSFERS

We've turned Instant Transfers back on for officials.  In order for officials to use this option, they must be enrolled in MFA.

FIXES

• Schools will again have the ability to filter payments by sport. The sport filter will have all sports available to their school.

ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION (OFFICIALS)

MASS EMAIL OFFICIALS ABOUT ELIGIBILITY

Admins can use the new Mass Email feature under Monitor Eligibility to send important reminders and alerts about eligibility statuses or requirements that are still needing attention.

IMPROVEMENTS

• In Monitor Eligibility, under the Eligibility Tiers filter we have updated the order of tiers to go from newest tiers to oldest.

STUDENT REGISTRATION

EASIER WAY TO SELECT ALL

By adding a ‘Select All’ option for Locations and Links we are making it easier for our users to select and deselect the specific locations or links they want attached to their program registrations.

BUG FIXES 

• We have fixed the issue users have been experiencing with being able to open and view files attached to emails. 
• Fixed proper data pulling for student transfer reports.

• The quick filters on the Schedule page for schools have been fixed to give accurate results depending on the filter criteria set.
• Arbiter 360 admins were unable to add/edit staff from within a schools account. All 360 admins should have that capability now.

INVITE USERS TO PAY

Schools have a quick and easy way to invite officials and workers to sign up for ArbiterPay. This can now be done right from the payment screen.

STUDENT REGISTRATION

IMPROVED FILTER AND SEARCH FOR PROGRAMS

You can now search a filter both active and archived programs on your programs page! We're rolling out a brand-new search bar and filters that will save you from the tediously clicking through page after page to find your programs. All you need to do is type what you are looking for and press Enter! 

REDUCE DUPLICATE REGISTRATIONS

Updated registration pop up messages and additional options for editing or creating a registration for the parents to aid in decreasing duplicate registrations. By making the message on the action they are taking more clear and reducing the options for moving forward we will make the process less tedious on the parents while working on their participants registration.

• Team Store, Live Streaming, and Digital Tickets: Schools can now upload their team store, live streaming, and digital ticketing links on ArbiterLive, giving fans the information they need for game day. These links can be added by the school by going to the school's Settings page in ArbiterGame.
• Team Store Partnership with SquadLocker: We are excited to share that Arbiter has partnered with SquadLocker to provide Schools with a Team Store option that is home to custom apparel for every team, sport, and activity. Learn More

IMPROVEMENTS

• Removing Officials: Assigners will be able to remove officials from their account without needing to remove past games, paysheets, invoices, and evaluations. Once the official is removed, we will keep the data tied to that official in your account so that the data is available to you if needed.
• Logo Management: We have updated the process for Schools and Associations to add or edit a logo affiliated with their school or association. For Schools, this can be done on the Schools Settings page. For Associations, this can be done on the Group Details page.

STATE TOOLS

IMPROVEMENTS

• States can now update the status and post comments on student transfer requests. This will enable communication between the school and the state on the student transfer process.

ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION (OFFICIALS)

• Testing Partnership with Referee®: We are excited to share that Arbiter has partnered with Referee® to provide our Associations with even more test options within their Arbiter Eligibility platform.

IMPROVEMENTS

• Easier Access to Eligibility: Officials can now access their eligibility dashboard directly from their official's account instead of having to go through the association's Central Hub.

FIXES

• Displaying Deleted Eligibilities: Officials were able to see eligibility badges for deleted eligibilities. Deleted eligibilities should no longer be viewable for an official.
• USSF Certifications: Officials were showing credit for certifications that had expired. We have updated the process that calculates completion status and only officials with a valid certification will show a successful completion status.

IMPROVEMENTS

• When editing reports, it should be easy for the user to know what they are adding and simple to use. We made a few adjustments when choosing fields to include the entire title will be able to be read and now the entire box to be clickable to drop down so that you don't accidentally select all. 
• When printing report pages the title will now be at the top of each page, so you know what report that page is associated to. 
• Users don't want notifications about reports that aren't available anymore. Once archived notifications and emails for that report will be turned off! 

FIXES

• Mass updating internal fields to empty on a report will now operate correctly.
• When looking at a table view report, selecting a graph for one of the statuses (registration/approval/payment) was returning a report with all the registrations without filtering based on the graph. We have corrected this so that when selecting a graph for one of the statuses it will now return a report filtered by that result.

• When viewing an official under Monitor Eligibility, the admin's phone number would show for the official instead of the official's phone number. FIXES

• Sometimes upon Organization creation and landing page tabs would show empty when saving and moving forward causing the user to create duplicate information when not necessary. Data now appears properly and accurately!

V310 - 6/7/2023

SCHEDULING

NEW

• When an assigner changes the level of an existing game, we will now update the teams to match the new level of the game. If no teams apply to the new level of the game, we will default to leaving the team as the level previously selected.

IMPROVEMENTS

• We have a made a few adjustments to the Official Schedule page based off the feedback received after our initial changes to that page in April.
  • NEW tag will be used to indicate games that have not been accepted that are in the future.
  • Event tag used to indicate any events on the official's schedule.
  • Increased padding between columns
  • Darker lines between rows to provide more clarity in game information.

FIXES

• Officials were unable to enter and save scores for certain games that were being pushed to MaxPreps. Officials should now be able to enter scores for any games that they work.

 

PAYMENTS

• Officials were receiving multiple of the same email when new games were assigned to them. They will now only receive one email. 

 

ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION (OFFICIALS)

• For soccer associations using the new USSF Integration, we will now display the expiration date associated with the USSF Certification being used as an eligibility requirement.

FIXES

• When using Monitor Eligibility, we will display all of the eligibility badges associated to an official. Admins should also have the ability to navigate between pages to make any necessary updates like mass enrolling, mass marking eligible, or removing eligibility.

V309 - 5/19/2023

SCHEDULING

NEW

• Soccer Assigners can use the all-new USSF integration to track eligibility of officials through their USSF certifications completed in the USSF Learning Center. Use the new USSF Certification requirement to start tracking eligibility today!

IMPROVEMENTS

• When building a league schedule, the user will not be able to add schedules for previous school years.

FIXES

• Squad names of teams were not being displayed on the team roster or the add game page for assigners. If a team has a squad name, the assigner should see that name on both the team roster and add game page.
• When a school admin is logged into the mobile app, they should be able to search and favorite schools that are not already listed as their default schools.
• State Association admins were unable to Act As into a school's account and view the school's staff. The staff page should now be accessible by State admins.

V308 - 5/3/2023

SCHEDULING

NEW

• When adding a new team from the Add Game screen, we will give assigner's the option whether they want to add the team's default site and bill-to. This will allow assigners to keep their Sites and Bill-to lists from growing with unused data.

IMPROVEMENTS

• When setting up Crews, we will now display your list of Crew Chiefs in alphabetical order.

FIXES

• We have resolved the issue where declining games in the mobile app would create a full-day block regardless of the group's settings. The group's settings will now determine if a block is set after declining games and whether it is a full-day or partial block.

 

USERS

IMPROVEMENTS

• We are expanding the flexibility over who has access to your school’s ArbiterSports account. Previously, users were categorized into one of three roles – Admin, Payor, or Staff.  With this upcoming change, you can add staff members with more specific roles that each has their own set of permissions.  Instead of adding many members as “Staff,” you can give permissions that are specific to their needs.

FIXES

• Schools were not able to modify worker's emails. This has been fixed.
• When a new official registers for the first time their email notifications will default to be on rather than off. This will allow them to get notifications right away and they can still turn them off if they choose to do so.

 

ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION (OFFICIALS)???

FIXES

• Eligibility badges for officials were showing as a broken image. Badges should now show correctly depending on the tier of eligibility completed by the official.
• The image uploaded to the Welcome Step of registration was failing to save. Associations can now upload their welcome step image.

V307 - 4/19/2023

SCHEDULING

NEW

• Officials can filter for new games that still need to be accepted with the NEW Action filter on the official's schedule.

FIXES

• Schools were running into issues when logging into the Mobile App to add scores. That bug has been fixed and schools can login to the ArbiterSports app to add scores for their teams.
• Assigners were unable to accept/decline on behalf of an official or filter an official's schedule. Both issues have been resolved and the assigner should be able to Act on behalf of the official to perform actions.

• The Duplicate Registration tool will allow associations to copy a registration from year to the next, including all of your fee rules!

IMPROVEMENTS

• We have moved the location of the Discounts subtab underneath Eligibility so that associations can set up any discounts when building their Registrations.

• Schools can now manage who has permission to add, edit, and remove staff members from their organization. This new permission will give you more control over the security of your account.

• We're excited to announce an updated Schedule page and View by Month calendar view for Officials! Here are some of the new features and improvements you can expect:

Schedule View

• A cleaner, more modern design that's easier to navigate
• Clearer labeling and organization of information
• The ability to filter schedules by date, group, type of event, and paid status

Calendar View

• The ability to view schedules by month, allowing for better long-term planning and coordination
• Quick access to important details such as location, time, and level of competition
• See your blocks, games, and events for all your groups

 

IMPROVEMENTS

• Games that have occurred in the past will be Published to ArbiterLive if not previously marked as Published.
• Subsites will now require a subsite name for the subsite to be added to a site.

FIXES

• Assigner was unable to delete sites. If a site does not have any attached games, invoices, paysheets, or events then the assigner should now be able to delete the site.

 

STUDENT REGISTRATION

NEW

• Great news.... we will soon streamline the entire Student Transfer process, making it easy for ADs to manage transfers with just a few clicks!!  Better yet, we're making the information available at the state association level, to allow states visibility across their member schools, removing the need to email, fax, pigeon those transfer requests that need state review & approval. 
• The pilot phase is now open with a select few schools.  We've made the process to collect, review and process Student Transfers easier by integrating it directly into registration, eliminating extra steps for parents and reducing miscommunication between schools.
• We will also ensure that all necessary data is seamlessly transferred to the state.   The full launch of Student Transfers is expected to go live in May!?

V305 - 3/22/2023

SCHEDULING

NEW

• State Associations can manage their members schools within their Arbiter account and can now view and edit information pertaining to each member school.

• Schools can now filter for event workers and officials to find out who has an ArbiterPay account and who does not. From there, schools can use the email action tool to notify event workers and officials to register for an ArbiterPay account.

IMPROVEMENTS

• The Group Details page for associations has been updated to allow groups to view and edit the information related to the association.

• The School Settings page has been updated to allow schools to view and edit the information related to the school.

FIXES

• The quick search on the assigner's officials page has been fixed to allow assigners to search for more than two letters at a time.

• We have many partners in the industry that use our API to update officials' eligibility. We have applied an update to ensure new updates to eligibility will only occur if the official is active in the group.
• Some officials experienced issues when using discount codes during registration, this has been resolved. 

 

STUDENT REGISTRATION

IMPROVEMENTS

• Schools that have an admin fee applied to registration payments, will now have that fee applied on the summary page, so that it will only be applied to each individual payment made online.

• Medications can now be removed from the medications form block.

SCHEDULING

• Fan and parents will now be able to access Student Registration from the school's ArbiterLive dashboard.
  • The Student Registration tab will only show for school's using Arbiter's student registration platform.
  • Clicking on the tab will route the user to the login page for the school's registration dashboard to sign in or create an account

IMPROVEMENTS

• Day of the week has been added to the Team Schedule report to indicate which day events will be taking place.
• We have added the Worker Type (contractor/employee) to both the Schedule by Worker and Workers by Event reports.

FIXES

• The Team Schedule report was displaying tournaments with the incorrect scores. We have also modified the Team Schedule report to cut down on the number of pages per report.

 

PEOPLE

NEW

• You can now filter for officials who have or have not been sent a welcome email.

IMPROVEMENTS

• You can now click on the three dots to the right of an official's name to edit things like rank and permissions.
• Assigning settings can now be edited without navigating away from the page.

• State Associations will be able to view a list of member schools with relevant school information like address, phone number, and school-related links.

IMPROVEMENTS

• Official fees will not be viewable by schools that are not listed as the payor of the game. Schools can use the 'Claim" feature to become the payor of the game.
• We have added the event start time to the Fees by Category report.
• When officials are setting blocks for a date range, we will default to selecting all available days within that date range.

FIXES

• Student's grade year was not matching their grad year. The correct grad year should now correspond with the grade year of the student.
• Adding officials to a locked filter was resetting the filter and not including any newly added officials. Locked filters will allow you to add officials to an existing list.

• Added more options to the three dot drop down for assigners to quickly edit officials. These updates give quick access to pages like custom fields and blocks. Also, we reordered the list with better labels.

• Assigners can now filter to see games that have slots with no game fees on them. This will help to ensure they don't miss anything when finalizing paysheets.

• Assigners can also filter by multiple game statuses at once now. This will help if they want to see all non-normal games or any other combination of game statuses across games.

• Some schools without Pay would get an error page if they tried to preview the Payments page so they couldn't sign up. This has been fixed.

• Officials can now filter by sport and level on the team blocks page

IMPROVEMENTS

• School users will no longer receive the Removed Game email if they have chosen not to receive game change notifications under their profile.
• Assigners can now access official's Assigning Settings by using the ellipses next to the official's name on the Officials page.

FIXES

• The team record displayed in ArbiterLive was not calculating every win/loss. The record should now be calculating correctly.
• Officials were receiving an error message when setting a partial day block. Officials can now set partial day blocks without any issues.
• The button on the team blocks page to Apply blocks for 'home' and 'away' is now working and can be used to apply blocks to teams for home or away games only.

• Officials will be able to set a block as firm when selecting days to block. Firm blocks limit assigners from overriding the block.

IMPROVEMENTS

• The date range filter under Events has been modified to keep your selected date range instead of resetting the date range each time an action is performed.
• The ability to quick search has been added to the Teams, Sites, and Partners blocks page. The user will also default to "Show All" options for those three blocks pages.
• When adding relationships to contacts, the user will default to "Show All" for Billtos, Teams, and Sites.

• Mass assign event workers is here! Schools will now have the ability to choose multiple events at once to assign workers too.

• State Associations will be able to edit the schools under specific alignment tiers and will also be able to duplicate alignment from one year to the next.
• If you click on the calendar icon next to a team in the school's team list, you will be routed to the schedule page and shown the team's schedule for the current year.

IMPROVEMENTS

• The payment voucher report has been updated to appear more like the game voucher used on specific games.
• The end time for practices can now be seen in ArbiterLive.
• The algorithm used in the League Scheduler tool has been modified to ensure balance in games among the teams involved in the league schedule.
• When creating duplicate schedules in the League Scheduler tool, you will only be able to add schedules for teams that are listed in your school's team list.
• All users will be presented with the login screen in the mobile app when they first download the app or open the app for the first time.

• The departure time shown in AL was displaying the return time instead of the departure time. You will now see the correct departure time.
