Roles and permissions allow ArbiterGame Admins to control the access their staff members have in the account. Roles in Arbiter correlate to the roles of staff at your school.

The permissions can be set for each role, but cannot be set specifically for each staff member. For each role, you can assign permissions that you want that role to have access to, then assign each staff member to one of the roles. Users will be taken to the first tab/sub-tab they have access to (based on their Role) in ArbiterGame. See below for instructions on how to edit roles, assign roles to staff members, and to see a description list of each permission.



How to Edit Roles:
1. Sign into your ArbiterGame account on arbitersports.com.
2. Click on the People tab.
3. Click on the Roles sub-tab.

4. Click the edit pencil next to the role to edit.

5. Click the check-box next to each feature you would like the role to access. (See below for permission descriptions)
6. Click Save Role at the bottom.

Assign a Role to Staff Members:
1. Click on the People tab.
2. Under the Staff sub-tab, click the edit pencil next to the staff member.

3. From the "Role" drop-down box, select the role you want to set for that staff member.
4. Click Save.

Below are the permissions and descriptions:


    Permission                                              Description
Schedule Choose if the role will have full or view only access to the Schedule. See below.
Schedule (View Only) Gives the role full view of the schedule to see events, game contracts, officials, workers, and more. This permission does not give capabilities to add or edit events. Click here to learn more: View Your School Schedule
Schedule (Full Access) This permission allows the role either full or view only access to everything under the Schedule tab (except the League Scheduler sub-tab).
League Scheduler Allows the role full access to the League Scheduler sub-tab (must have the Schedule permission first).
Payroll This permission allows the role to access the selected sub-tabs on Payments.  (Must check either the Event Payment and/or Simple Pay boxes for the role to have access. Checking just the Payroll box will not give any access.)
Event Payments Allows the role full access to pay officials, workers, and schools.
Simple Pay Allows the role full access to make payments using Simple Pay (sub-tab under Payroll).
Account History Allows the role full access to view and export account history transactions under the Payroll tab.
Accounts Allows the role full access to view, add, modify, or remove any linked ArbiterPay account and bank account.
Eligibility This permission allows the role to access the selected sub-tabs under the Eligibility tab. (Must check either the Students, Competitive Balance, and/or Pre-Participation boxes for the role to have access. Checking just the Eligibility box will not give any access.)
Students Allows the role full access to the Students sub-tab to add, modify, or delete students.
Competitive Balance Allows the role full access to the Competitive Balance sub-tab under Eligibility (must have the Eligibility permission first).
Pre-Participation Allows the role full access to the Pre-Participation sub-tab under Students (must have the Eligibility permission first).
People This permission allows the role to access the selected sub-tabs under the People tab. (Must check either the Staff, Workers, Officials, and/or Roles boxes for the role to have access. Checking just the People box will not give any access.)
Staff Allows the role view-only access to the Staff sub-tab. (Only the Admin role has full access to add, edit, and delete staff members.)
Manage Staff Allows users to add and edit other staff members.
Workers This permission allows the role full access to the Workers tab.
Officials This permission allows the role full access to the Officials tab.
Roles Allows the role full access to modify role permissions.
Resources This permission allows the role to access the selected sub-tabs under the Resources tab. (Must check either the Teams, Sites, and/or Opponents boxes for the role to have access. Checking just the Resources box will not give any access.)
Teams This permission allows the role full access to add, modify, and delete Teams.
Sites This permission allows the role full access to add, modify, and delete Sites.
Opponents This permission allows the role full access to add, modify, and delete Opponents.
Reports This permission allows the role full access to the Reports tab.
Settings This permission allows the role to access the sub-tabs under the Settings tab (must check Settings and the sub-tab(s) for the role to have access. Checking just the Settings box will not give any access.)
School Allows the role full access to modify the School information.
Brightly Allows the role full access to the Brightly sub-tab.
Preferences Allows the role full access to the Preferences sub-tab.
ArbiterLive Allows the role full access to the ArbiterLive sub-tab.
iCal Feed Allows the role full access to the iCal Feed sub-tab.
License Allows the role full access to the license sub-tab.
