How to Set Up Your Arbiter Pay Account | Officials and Event Workers

In this article, you’ll learn how to create your Arbiter Pay account and complete the step-by-step verification process.   1. Sign in to Arbiter.
  2. Click Payments.

  1. If there are any red triangle-exclamation icons, it means you have missing personal information on your profile.
  • Click Edit Info and add the missing information.

How do I set up an Arbiter Pay Account as an Event Worker?

Event Workers invited by a school will receive an email welcoming them to ArbiterSports. To create an Arbiter Pay account, begin by following the steps below.

  1. Go to www.arbiter.io
  2. Click Login.
  3. Click For Officials and Event Workers.

  1. Click Forget Password.

  1. Enter your email and click Send verification code.

Note: It is important that you do not close your ArbiterSports tab while getting your code, or you will need to restart the process.

  1. Open your email inbox.
  2. Find the email with the subject line "Forgot your password?"
  3. Copy the ArbiterSports verification code.

  1. Enter or paste the verification code and click Verify code.

  1. After logging in successfully, you will be brought to the "Set Up Payments" page. Follow the steps outlined in "How do I set up an Arbiter Pay Account as an official?", as the process is the same for event works.

How do I complete the Identity Verification process?

Identity Verification: Note: You must have a mobile device with an internet connection and a camera to complete the verification process.

  1. Read and follow the instructions under "What you should know" and click Continue.

  1. Click the dropdown menu, select the country, and click Continue.

  1. Enter your cell phone number and click Send verification code.

  1. Enter the five-digit code sent to your cell phone and click Continue.

  1. Enter your first and last name as shown on your government-issued ID and click Continue.

  1. Enter your date of birth as shown on your government-issued ID and click Continue.

  1. Enter your home address and click Continue.

Note: This address should be where you live, not just a mailbox.

  1. Enter the last four digits of your Social Security Number and click Continue.

  1. Scan the QR Code.
  • Open your phone’s camera app.
  • Point the camera at the QR code to start the verification process on your phone.

Note: If you have trouble with the QR code, click Send link to phone to receive a link via text message to begin the verification process.

After scanning the QR Code, you will complete the verification process on your cell phone.

  1. Your mobile device will ask permission to allow access to your camera. Click Allow.

  1. Point your phone’s camera at your government-issued ID. Ensure it is properly aligned and well- lit. Then, click Take Photo.

  1. Flip your government- issued ID. Ensure it is properly aligned and well-lit and click Take Photo.

  1. After taking photos of your government-issued ID, the images will begin uploading. Keep this page open and wait for the upload to be completed.

  1. You will begin the second process of the identity verification by taking a “Selfie.” Click Allow camera access.

  1. Your mobile phone will ask permission to allow access to your front-facing camera. Click Allow, and follow the instructions promptly.

After completing the verification process from your phone, you will be asked to close your phone’s web browser and return to the desktop website.

How do I create a PIN?

After finishing the verification process, create and confirm a PIN. Then, click Finish.

How do I set up an Arbiter Pay Account during the Officials' Registration Process?

You may also have the option to sign up for an Arbiter Pay account during the officials' registration process. If your state organization allows this, you’ll see an Arbiter Pay step included in your yearly registration process. (Note: If you already have an Arbiter Pay account, this step will not appear.) The setup process for creating an Arbiter Pay account during registration is the same as setting it up from the Payments tab. Click "How do I set up an Arbiter Pay Account as an official?", for more information.

How do I set up an Arbiter Pay Account for minors?

  1. Follow the instructions exactly as presented under the "How do I set up an Arbiter Pay Account as an official?" section.

Minors do not complete identity verification; however, the verification must be completed by a parent or guardian who is over the age of 18. 

  1. Identity Verification:
  • Read and follow the instructions under "What you should know."
  • After reviewing the terms, checkmark the box to give consent.
  • Click Continue.

IMPORTANT: Enter the parent or guardian’s information for identity verification.

  2. After finishing the verification process, create and confirm a PIN and click Finish.

If your child’s account is pending review, our verification team will reach out to you for further information. Please review "What is a Pending Status?" for more information.

 

What if I get a "Whoops!" and can't complete the verification process?

If you encounter a “Whoops!” page, you may need to repeat the verification process.

  1. Click Continue to restart the verification process.

If you still cannot complete the verification process successfully, your account will be placed in pending status, and our verification team will contact you to assist with the next steps.

What is a Pending Status?

If your state requires an Arbiter Pay account to complete registration, you’ll need to successfully finish the setup process. If your account is pending review, you won’t be able to complete registration until our verification team reaches out to you.

If multiple attempts to verify your identity through Plaid are unsuccessful, click Continue to proceed. Our verification team will then contact you to assist with setting up your Arbiter Pay account.

What should you do if a person cannot be found by phone number?

If we cannot find the person based on their phone number at the beginning of the identity verification process, you will be prompted to update your information.

If Plaid locates the person using their phone number, it will display their address and social security information for confirmation. If any information is incorrect or needs updating, they can click Update Information to make changes.
