I do not have a cellphone; how do I finish signing up?
A mobile phone is required to sign up for a Pay account, as the sign-up process cannot be completed without one. I was informed that my account wasn’t created successfully and that I needed to wait for Arbiter to provide the next steps. What should I do in the meantime, and when can I expect to hear back about my pending account?
While our queue can occasionally get busy, pending accounts are typically addressed within one business day. If you don’t receive a response within that time, feel free to contact our team to check on the status of your account.
What is Plaid and why do you use them?
Arbiter has partnered with Plaid, a trusted identity verification software, to strengthen the security of your account. With the rising threat of unauthorized access and financial fraud, we have enhanced our security protocols to ensure that only authorized individuals can access an account. Plaid's robust verification process adds an extra layer of protection, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access to your organization's sensitive information and funds.

Frustrated and have no idea if I have an account with Arbiter or ready for this officiating season. Also contemplating about retiring from officiating—- as this process could be one final straw!
I’m an assignor and I have a referee (college freshman) who has tried to set up an ArbiterPay account. However it was denied because Plaid couldn’t verify his identification.
Support people are NOT providing him the opportunity to submit different forms of ID and correct a possible address/account ownership conflict in order to rectify the issue. Their only solution is for him to contact the schools/organization he works for to arrange a different method of payment.
This is a horrible way to “support” the referees working games and expecting to get paid in a fast and secured manner. I know that the clubs in my area will not agree to cutting a check every week as he would be the only person not able to get paid by ArbiterPay.
Also, there are tournaments who will only pay through ArbiterPay. SO…
There has to be a way to correct the situation.
