How do I create an Arbiter Pay account for my school?

When creating an Arbiter Pay account, you will be required to enter legal business information pertaining to your school, such as the TIN or EIN, the legal name of the school or district, and the legal address. This information can typically be found on a school's W-9 or other official tax documentation. One authorized individual must complete a one-time personal verification check to prevent fraudulent accounts. This process requires submitting a government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license, passport, or permanent resident card, along with a series of photos (center, left profile, and right profile) to verify your identity. All personal information provided during this process is secured and protected.

Step 1. Verify Your School and Your Personal Information

  1. Click Payroll.

  1. Verify your school's business information. This information should reflect exactly on your school's W9 or tax business information. Then, click Continue.

  1. On the Business & Identify Verification page, review the instructions and press Continue.

    Important: The verification process can be done on your computer or your phone. During this process, you will be asked to use your computer's webcam or your mobile device's camera. We HIGHLY recommend that you switch the process to your phone when prompted so that you can easily send documentation from your mobile device.

  1. Review the description, then click Get started.

  1. Enter your school's business details, then click Continue.

    Important: Under Business type, if you are a school creating an Arbiter Pay account, you must select School/District. DO NOT select Assigner.

  1. Enter your information. 

    Important: Enter your school email address or the email address you use to log in to Arbiter.

  1. Identify what country your government ID is from, then click Select.

  1. Depending on the type of ID you selected, we HIGHLY recommend continuing the verification process on your mobile device. Click Continue on another device.

  1. Open your camera application on your phone and scan the QR code

The QR code is not working for me. 

If you're trying to scan the QR code and nothing is opening, you can email the link to yourself and open the page on your phone by accessing that link from your mobile email.

  1. Click Send Email

  1. Enter your email address, then click Send secure link.

  1. Arbiter will send a link to your email that you can access on your phone. Open your email application on your mobile device. If you do not receive an email, you can click Resend secure link to try again.

  1. Open the email from Persona with the subject line ArbiterSports one-time link. Locate and click on Verify Identity.

Important! When you continue on your phone, do not close out of the website. 

Step 2. Continue Verifying Your Information on Your Phone

  1. Select the type of government ID you will verify.

  2. Click on the camera icon

  3. Your device will ask you permission to access your camera. Allow your device to open the camera

  4. Center your government ID. Once your ID is centered, the website will automatically take the photo (If the photo is not taken automatically, you can take it yourself by clicking the shutter button). Once the photo is taken, ensure that it is clear and legible. If the photo is legible, click Use this photo

    Important: If the photo is blurry, you must click retake and try again. Please ensure the photo is legible; if the verification system has a hard time reading your ID, it will not allow you to create an Arbiter Pay account.

  5. Flip your government ID over and center the back of the ID in your camera. Ensure the photo is legible; if it is, click Use this photo. If it is not legible, click Retake photo.

  6. Wait for your photo to process your ID.

  7. Use your front facing camera to take a photo of yourself. You will be prompted to take a photo of your self from different facing positions. Click Get Started

  8. Follow the prompts and click Take Photo. After you have taken photos, the system will quickly verify you, and you can return to your desktop.

Step 3. Return & Finish on your Desktop

  1. Your desktop will indicate a message stating, "Congratulation, you're done!" Click Done

  1. Create a four digit PIN. This PIN will allow you to authorize transactions to officials and will authorize funds in being transferred to your Arbiter Pay account. Click Finish when you're done.
